Transmitter Programming

REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING

(1) Locate the dark green program enable wire under the left side of the instrument panel. The wire is taped back to the harness (left of the steering column near the floor) and terminated with a black rubber mold.

(2) Connect the program enable wire to a good ground.

(3) Insert the ignition key and turn the ignition switch to the On position. The power locks will cycle (lock, then unlock) as feedback.

(4) Depress either button on one remote keyless entry transmitter. The power locks will cycle as feedback.

(5) Depress either button on the second transmitter, if used. The power locks will cycle as feedback.

(6) Disconnect the program enable wire from ground. If the wire is hanging loose, tape it back to the harness.

(7) Turn the ignition switch to the Off position and remove the key.

(8) Test the operation of the transmitter(s).

NOTE: Be certain to perform the transmitter program procedure again when replacing a faulty transmitter, and to erase the access code of the test transmitter from the power lock/remote keyless entry module.
