Service Procedure





NOTE:
Affected vehicles may be equipped with 1, 4 or 5 scored wheels (Figure 1). Refer to the Parts Section for further information on the size and number of wheels required for the vehicle being serviced.

1. Remove the full size spare from its storage location (if equipped).

CAUTION:
DO NOT use an air impact tool on winch mechanism as this may damage winch.

2. Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist and remove all four stamped steel wheels (if equipped).

3. Remove the tire(s) from the wheel(s). Set the wheel(s) aside for return to the Warranty Material Return Center.

4. Install a new valve stem in the new wheel(s).

5. Mount and balance the original tire(s) on the new wheel(s).

6. Install the wheel and tire assemblies on the vehicle. Tighten lug nuts to 95 ft-lbs (130 N.m).

7. Reinstall the wheel covers (if equipped).

8. Lower the vehicle, if necessary.

9. Return the full size spare tire to its storage location (if equipped). Tighten the tire winch mechanism BY HAND until you hear the mechanism click three times.
