Cruise Control Servo: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove right-front steam rollers/turn signal assembly. Refer to Side marker And Turn Signal Lamp in Lighting and Horns.

Fender Extension Remove/Install - Typical - Left Side Shown:

3. Remove 4 screws holding right fender extension.

Speed Control Servo Location:

4. Remove 2 servo mounting bracket bolts.
5. Unplug electrical connector and vacuum hose at servo.

Speed Control Servo Bracket Remove/Install:

6. Remove 2 nuts from servo mounting bracket.
7. Pull servo away from mounting bracket.
8. Remove and discard push nuts on servo studs.

Servo Cable Remove/Install:

9. Pull speed control cable away from servo to expose cable retaining clip.
10. Remove clip attaching cable to servo.
11. To install, block throttle to full open position and align hole in cable sleeve with hole in servo pin. Install retaining clip.
12. Reverse remaining removal procedures to install. Tighten servo mounting bracket nuts to 8.5 Nm (75 in lb). Tighten servo mounting bolts to 11 Nm (95 in lb).
