All vehicles have a Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label. The label combines both emission control information and vacuum hose routing. This label is located near the center of the underside of the hood (Fig. 1) and contains:
- Engine family and displacement
- Evaporative family
- Emission control system schematic
- Certification application
- Spark plug and gap.

The VECI labels are permanently attached and cannot be removed without defacing information and destroying them.

If any difference exists between the label and other information, refer to the label. The label shown is an example.
