SUBJECT:
Inadvertent Door Lock Operation
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves sealing the A-pillar/cowl/load beam body seam(s) and repairing the door wire harness connectors as necessary.
MODELS:
1998 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Door locks activate when moving the mirrors or windows or door locks that cycle without touching any switches and not when rolling locks would normally activate.
DIAGNOSIS:
If any of the symptoms, can be reproduced or the vehicle owner describes any of the symptoms remove both interior trim kick panels. Inspect the interior of the A-pillar/kick panel and body side of the door wire harness connectors for the presence of moisture. Perform the Repair Procedure on one or both sides of the vehicle, as necessary, if moisture or evidence of moisture is present.
