Steel Wheel
REMOVE
1. Remove the three wheel nuts, used to lock the wheel cover to the wheel.
CAUTION: When removing the wheel cover, do not pry the wheel cover from the wheel. This can result in damage to the wheel cover. The wheel cover is removed by pulling it off the wheel by hand.
2. Grasp the center of the wheel cover and pull straight outward from the wheel. This will pop the wheel cover retaining tabs over the two remaining wheel nuts, removing the wheel cover from the wheel.
3. Remove the two remaining wheel nuts from the studs.
4. Remove the wheel and tire from the hub.
NOTE: The wheel nuts must be installed on the studs shown to allow the installation of the wheel cover.
INSTALL
1. To install the wheel, first position it properly on the hub mounting surface using the hub pilot as a guide. Then install and lightly tighten the 2 wheel nuts on the studs as shown holding the wheel to the hub.
2. Align the valve notch in the wheel cover with the valve stem on the wheel. Align the two holes in the wheel cover having the retaining tabs, with the two installed wheel nuts.
3. Press in on center of wheel cover until retaining tabs on wheel cover engage with wheel nuts. This will hold the wheel cover to the wheel.
4. Install the three remaining wheel nuts.
5. Progressively tighten the 5 wheel nuts in the proper sequence. Tighten wheel nuts to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). Never use oil or grease on studs or nuts.
