SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Glove box may not close (latch) or require excessive effort to latch.

DIAGNOSIS:

If glove box door does not latch easily when closed perform the Repair Procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED:

1 04773968 Tape, Felt

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves shimming the glove box door striker.

1. Remove the two glove box door striker screws.

2. Cut two pieces of felt tape to fit between the striker and instrument panel.

3. Install the two screws through the striker and felt tape to the instrument panel.

4. Close glove box door, if closing effort is still high repeat steps 1 thru 3 as required.
