DISCUSSION:

The instrument panel end cover attaching clips may become damaged during routine fuse or instrument panel service. The rear clips may break during cover installation if the clips are not lined up with the slots on the instrument panel. To prevent clip breakage use the following procedure:

INSTRUMENT PANEL END COVER ATTACHING PROCEDURE

1. Start the two forward end cover clips in the horizontal slots in the instrument panel (it may help to remove the door opening weatherstrip in this area).

2. Push the end cover forward until the two rear clips are aligned with the vertical slots in the instrument panel. Snap end cover into place.
