Repair Procedure

This bulletin involves applying a special grease to the widow regulator slider run channels as necessary **and on Concorde/LHS/300M models applying flocking tape between the top rear of the door trim panel and inner sheet metal.**

**1. Mark the outline of the rear vinyl wrapped edge of trim panel on the sheet metal using a grease pencil (Figure 1) (Concorde/LHS/300M models).**

2. Remove flag cover or speaker (front door only), door trim panel, water shield as necessary, and pull cup support bracket.

**NOTE:
THE FOUR SPEAKER/COVER FASTENERS ARE UNIQUE AND SHOULD NOT BE MIXED WITH THE TRIM PANEL FASTENERS.

3. Replace the (2) white clips on the trim panel with p/n 06504014.

4. Replace the (1) green clip on the trim panel with p/n 06503204 (rear doors).**

5. Remove nuts attaching glass to lift channel and slide glass from regulator lift channel.

6. Slide glass up into window frame and rest there with wood block on door reinforcement.

7. Disconnect power window motor wire connector.

8. Loosen bolts attaching regulator support brace to door panel.

9. Loosen screw and bolt heads from keyhole slots in door panel.

10. Remove bolts attaching regulator to door panel

11. Slide regulator rearward and rotate forward end of roller channel through access hole in door panel.

12. Remove regulator from door panel.

13. Remove grease from the regulator slider run channels with mineral spirits (or equivalent) using a paper towel or rag. Two passes with mineral spirits and a drying pass should be sufficient.

NOTE:
CARE MUST BE TAKEN NOT TO GET MINERAL SPIRITS INTO THE SLIDER'S BALL JOINT PIVOT SOCKET.

14. Apply grease, p/n O5O14833AA, to channels in the areas where sliders operate. Make sure to apply grease on all inner "C" channels as well as the slider's ball joint pivot socket.

15. Reverse steps to install window regulator assembly.

NOTE:
TO ADJUST GLASS CORRECTLY:

A. WITH GLASS NEAR FULL UP POSITION, SQUARE GLASS IN OPENING BY PULLING REARWARD AGAINST "B" PILLAR GLASS RUN.

B. ADJUST TENSION BY PUSHING DOWN ON EQUALIZER CHANNEL WITH ENOUGH FORCE (2 lb. MAX) TO TAKE OUT ANY LOOSENESS IN SYSTEM AND TIGHTEN FASTENER. DO NOT OVER ADJUST.**

**NOTE:
PERFORM STEPS 16 THROUGH 19 ON CONCORDE/LHS/300M VEHICLES. SKIP TO STEP 20 FOR INTREPID VEHICLES.

16. Using the flocking tape, p/n 04773968, completely cover the grease pencil mark made in Step 1 (Figure 2). Extend the tape past the vinyl wrap on the trim panel.

17. Install the door trim panel making sure all clips (3 on front/2 on rear) are engaged, you should hear a snap as each engages.

NOTE:
INSTALL DOOR TRIM PANEL CLIPS STARTING AT REAR UPPER, THEN REAR LOWER, THEN FRONT (REAR DOORS). CLIPS MUST BE SEATED BEFORE SCREWS ARE INSTALLED.

18. Using a sharp utility knife cut the flocking tape along the edge of the door trim panel (Figure 3). Care must be used not to cut too deep into the metal and not cutting the vinyl on the panel.

19. Remove the excess flocking tape.**

20. Verify function of remote handle and door lock, courtesy lamp, window switches, power mirror, and speakers.

21. Repeat procedure on other window regulators as necessary.
