Procedure B

1. Move front seat track to full forward position.





2. On Quad Cab and Club Cab vehicles, turn the release handle on underside of rear seat to disengage seat cushion and move seat to the stowed position (Figure 1).





3. Remove the rear seat side support bracket bolts and lift the seat up to disengage it from the cab (Figure 2).

4. On standard cab vehicles, apply protective tape to the trim directly below the rear sliding glass window.

5. Remove the run channel by rolling the channel into the cab at both ends and then, pulling it out from one end.

6. Remove the sliding glass from the rear window module assembly.

7. Remove any excess sealer from the lower run channel area of the rear window module assembly.

8. Clean the sealer bond area with a Hand Scuff Pad, p/n 04856937.

9. Clean the bond area with Mopar Tar And Road Oil Remover, p/n 04886330AA.

10. Clean the bond area with a 50/50 mixture of Isopropyl Alcohol and water.

11. Position the new latch (from package p/n 04773094) onto the new right side glass panel, p/n 05012942AA.

12. Secure the latch with the new screws that came with package p/n 04773094 and tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (15 in. lbs.).

13. Position the new keeper (from package p/n 04773094) onto the new left side glass panel, p/n 05012943AA.

14. Secure the keeper with the new screws that came with package p/n 04773094 and tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (15 in. lbs.).

15. Liberally apply weatherstrip lubricant, p/n 04773427, to the seal on the left hand side rear window glass.





16. Apply a 0.5 mm bead of pumpable type butyl such as 3M Windo-Weld (3M p/n 08633) to the bond area on the new rear sliding window lower run channel (p/n 05011532AA) (Figure 3).

CAUTION:
IT IS CRITICAL THAT THE BUTYL BEAD IS NOT EXCESSIVE. EXCESSIVE BUTYL CAN CAUSE A HYDROSTATIC LOCK, PREVENTING THE LOWER RUN WINDOW CHANNEL FROM BEING PROPERLY INSTALLED.

17. Position the left and right glass panels into the lower run channel.

18. Position the glass into the upper run channel. Then, snap the lower window run channel assembly into the lower rail.

NOTE:
AGGRESSIVE CLAMP PRESSURE IS REQUIRED TO LOCK LOWER RUN CHANNEL INTO PLACE.

19. Once assembled, fill the ends of the run channel with Mopar GEN II Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealant, p/n 04883971.

20. Remove protective tape and clean the window.

21. On Quad Cab and Club Cab vehicles, position the rear seat into the vehicle.

22. Align seatback hooks with the loops on the cab rear panel (Figure 2).

23. Align the side support alignment tabs, and lower seat into place (Figure 1).

24. Install side support bracket bolts and tighten the bolts.

25. Turn the release handle to disengage seat from stowed position and push seat cushion downward to lock into place.
