EMISSIONS RECALL TO REPLACE YOUR VEHICLE'S VECI LABEL

Dear Dodge Ram Van or Wagon Owner:

The wrong Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label may have been installed on your 1998 Dodge Ram van or wagon which is equipped with a 5.2L engine.

The problem is...

The VECI label that was installed on your Ram van or wagon (identified on the enclosed form) may incorrectly identify your vehicles emission control system. This could cause your vehicle to fail a state emission inspection test.

What you must do...

^ We ask that you apply the enclosed label so that it covers the existing label. The label is located on the under side of the hood. To assure good adhesion, wipe off the existing label before applying the new label.

^ If you prefer not to install the label yourself, simply contact your dealer to schedule a service appointment. The label installation will only take a few minutes, however, additional time may be necessary depending on how dealer appointments are scheduled and processed. This service will be provided free of charge. Please bring the enclosed label and Owner Notification Form with you to your dealer. The form identifies the vehicle and explains the required service to your dealer.
