Liftgate Door Mux Circuit Shorted to Ground
SYMPTOMLIFTGATE DOOR MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
WHEN MONITORED
Anytime battery voltage is above 10 volts and BCM is awake. Each switch inside the door has a unique resistance value which when activated sends a voltage level to the BCM. The BCM will interpret the different levels and perform the desired function.
SET CONDITION
The BCM senses a voltage below 4 volts on the liftgate switch MUX circuit.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Liftgate switch MUX circuit shorted to ground
- Liftgate switch circuit intermittent shorted to ground
- Liftgate door switch MUX circuit at BCM defective
