A/C Belt

REMOVAL

Air Conditioning Drive Belt-3.0L Engine:

1. Loosen the idler pulley lock nut.
2. Turn the adjusting screw to lower the idler pulley.
3. Remove A/C belt.

INSTALLATION
1. Install A/C belt over pulleys.
2. Apply a snug torque to the idler pulley lock nut.
3. Turn adjusting screw until proper belt tension is obtained. Refer to Belt Tension Chart found under Adjustments for specifications.
4. Tighten idler pulley lock nut to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).

ADJUSTMENT
To adjust the air conditioning drive belt, first loosen the idler pulley lock nut and adjust belt tension by tightening adjusting screw. Refer to Belt Tension Chart found under Adjustments for specification. Tighten pulley lock nut to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.) after adjustment.
