THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH FOG LAMPS.

DISCUSSION:

By December 8, 1998 (MDH 1208XX), vehicles equipped with fog lamps will be built with new longer life fog lamp bulbs. Previously, the fog lamp bulb was a 75 Candle Power/200 hour bulb (bulb p/n L0000893). Vehicles built after December 8, 1998 will be equipped with a 60 Candle Power/1200 hour bulb (bulb p/n 05015448AA).

Because of the Candle Power difference in these two bulbs, do not intermix the two bulbs when servicing. Customers that need to have one fog lamp bulb serviced must have the bulb replaced with a bulb of the same Candle Power. Customers that wish to have their vehicle upgraded to the new longer life fog lamp bulbs can do so (at their expense) as long as both fog lamp bulbs are replaced at the same time.
