Drum Brake System: Description and Operation

Eleven inch rear drum brakes are used on 1500 series models. All applications are two-shoe, internal expanding units with a self adjuster mechanism. A single wheel cylinder is used to expand the dual brake shoes. The lower ends of the brake shoes are connected by an adjusting screw assembly which is part of the self adjusting mechanism.
