Crankshaft Oil Seal-Front

REMOVAL
1. Remove the air cleaner and tube assemblies.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt.
3. Remove the crankshaft damper.

Crankshaft Oil Seal:

4. Use Special Tool C-4679-A to remove crankshaft oil seal. Be careful not to damage the crankshaft seal surface of cover.

INSTALLATION

Crankshaft Oil Seal-Installation:

1. Install the new seal by using Special Tool MD 998306.
2. Place seal into opening with seal spring towards the inside of engine. Install seal until flush with cover.
3. Install the crankshaft damper.
4. Install the accessory drive belt.
5. Install the air cleaner and tube assemblies.
