Test 1:

SYMPTOM
WARNING LAMP OPEN/SHORT (STORED)

TEST NOTE
This symptom is diagnosed using the test CLUSTER MESSAGE MISMATCH (STORED).

WHEN MONITORED
When the ignition is ON.

SET CONDITION
ACM monitors the CCD Bus for the airbag warning lamp diagnostic message from the Instrument Cluster. This message is transmitted one time per second. Sets if a open/shorted condition exist for 2 consecutive messages or 2 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Stored code present
- Stored code has become active
