WHEEL SPEED MISMATCH
When Monitored and Set Condition:
WHEEL SPEED MISMATCH
1500 Vehicle Series
When Monitored:
1. Vehicle speed greater than 20 km/h (12 mph).
2. No evidence of drivetrain spin up in the last 5 seconds.
3. Open sensor DTC not present.
4. ABS system not inhibited.
5. ABS system not in active control mode.
Set Condition:
1. When compared to the other wheels, one wheel is a plus or minus 20% different.
OR
2. Three wheel speeds differing from each other by more than 12%. All criteria above met for 24 consecutive checks spaced 0.5 second apart.
2500 and 3500 Series Vehicle
When Monitored:
1. Vehicle speed greater than 16 km/h (10 mph), but less than 64 km/h (40 mph).
2. No evidence of drivetrain acceleration or deceleration.
3. Open sensor DTC not present.
4. ABS system not inhibited.
5. ABS system not in active control.
Set Condition:
1. Three wheel speeds differing from each other by more than 13%. All criteria above or met for 24 consecutive checks spaced 0.5 second apart.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
TIRE/WHEEL SIZE NOT UNIFORM (THREE SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT TIRES INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE)
WRONG NUMBER OF TONE WHEEL TEETH
