VIN MESSAGE MISMATCH (STORED)

TEST NOTE
This symptom is diagnosed using the test CLUSTER MESSAGE MISMATCH (STORED).

WHEN MONITORED
At ignition ON the ACM will compare the PCM body style to a stored

SET CONDITION
At ignition on ACM monitors CCD bus for a message from PCM containing the complete VIN. From the 7th character of the VIN, ACM determines the body styles BE (2 or 3) and BR (6). After identifying the PCM body type ACM compares it to a stored body style.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Stored code has become active
- Stored code has not been reproduced
