SYMPTOM
P0712 - TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO LOW
WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the key ON and engine running.
SET CONDITION
The transmission temperature sensor (TTS) signal circuit voltage goes below 1.55 volts for 2.2 seconds.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Transmission pressure/temperature sensor
- Sensor signal circuit shorted to ground
- Sensor signal circuit shorted to sensor ground circuit
- Transmission solenoid/harness assembly (ground circuit)
- Transmission solenoid/harness assembly (signal circuit)
- Transmission temperature sensor wiring harness intermittent defect
- Transmission temperature sensor wiring harness observable defect
- Powertrain Control Module
