1. If PCM has been changed and correct VIN and mileage have not been programmed, a DTC will be set in ABS and Airbag modules.
2. For ABS and Air Bag systems: Enter correct VIN and Mileage in PCM. Erase codes in ABS and Airbag modules.
3. Inspect the vehicle to ensure that all engine components are connected. Reassemble and reconnect components as necessary.
4. Connect the DRB to the PCM Data Link Connector and erase the codes.
5. Ensure no other charging system problems remain by doing the following: Start the engine. Raise the engine speed to 2000 rpm for at least 30 seconds. Allow the engine to idle. Turn the engine OFF. Turn the ignition key ON.
6. With the DRB, read trouble code messages.
7. If the repaired code has reset, or any other one has set, check all pertinent Technical Service Bulletins and return to Symptom List if necessary. If there are no codes, the repair is now complete.
