Front Fascia/Hood Medallion

FRONT FASCIA/HOOD MEDALLION

REMOVAL

1. Insert a plastic trim stick or a hard wood wedge behind the medallion to separate the adhesive backing from the fascia.
2. Clean adhesive residue from fascia with Mopar(R) Super Kleen solvent or equivalent.

INSTALLATION

1. If the original medallion is to be reused, peel old adhesive tape from back of medallion.
2. Clean adhesive residue from medallion with Mopar(R) Super Kleen solvent or equivalent.
3. Cover the back of medallion with two sided adhesive tape. Tape can be acquired from automotive paint retailer.

4. Apply a piece of masking tape to the fascia so that the bottom edge of the tape is 83 mm (3.3 in.) below top edge across the center of the fascia (Fig. 14), (Fig. 15).
5. Mark the center line of the fascia on the masking tape with ink pen.
6. Remove protective cover from adhesive tape on back of medallion.
7. Position top center of medallion at the bottom edge and center of masking tape guide on painted surface of fascia.
8. Verify that medallion is positioned properly on fascia.
9. Press medallion firmly to fascia with palm of hand.
10. If temperature is below 21 degrees C (70 degrees F) warm medallion with a heat lamp or gun to assure adhesion. Do not exceed 65 degrees C (150 degrees F) when heating medallion.
