Rear Disc Brake Caliper

Check for piston fluid seal leaks (brake fluid in and around boot areas and lining) and for any ruptures in the piston dust boots. If a dust boot is damaged the dust boot and guide pin bolt bushing are a replaceable component of the rear caliper. Refer to Disc Brake Caliper (Rear), Disassembly And Assembly for the service procedure to install new guide pin bushings and dust boots. If a leak or other malfunction is noticed during the inspection of the rear disc brake caliper the caliper will require replacement. The rear disc brake calipers are not serviceable and must be replaced when inspection indicates this is necessary.
