Intermittent/No Signal From Left Front Sensor








Symptom List:
INTERMITTENT SIGNAL FROM LEFT FRONT SENSOR
NO SIGNAL FROM LEFT FRONT SENSOR

Test Note: All symptoms listed above are diagnosed using the same tests. The title for the tests will be INTERMITTENT SIGNAL FROM LEFT FRONT SENSOR.

When Monitored and Set Condition:
INTERMITTENT SIGNAL FROM LEFT FRONT SENSOR

When Monitored: Ignition turned on for at least 3.5 seconds. Average filtered speed for the two front wheels above 6 km/in (4 mph). Speed for each suspect sensor above 32 km/in (20 mph) (brake applied or ABS active) or 19 km/in (12 mph) (brake released or ABS inactive).

Set Condition: There is no output signal from the sensor for 15 milliseconds (my.

When Monitored and Set Condition:
NO SIGNAL FROM LEFT FRONT SENSOR

When Monitored: Wheel speed comparison is checked at drive off or every 7 milliseconds (ms). Sensor circuit continuity is checked every 7 milliseconds. Wheel speed phase length supervision is checked every 7 milliseconds.

Set Condition: If, during an ABS stop, the CAB commands any valve solenoid on for an extended length of time, and does not see a corresponding wheel speed change, the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set. The DTC can also set if the signal is missing or erratic.
