Warning Lamp Circuit Shorted (Active)

SYMPTOM
WARNING LAMP CIRCUIT SHORT - ACTIVE

WHEN MONITORED
When the ignition is ON, the ACM monitors the PCI Bus for a message from the MIC containing the airbag warning lamp status OK, Open, or Short. The MIC transmit the message one time per second in response to the ACM lamp ON/OFF message.

SET CONDITION
The code is set if the lamp status is SHORT for 2 consecutive messages.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- MIC, communication failure
- Airbag warning indicator CKT short
- ACM, airbag warning indicator circuit short
