SYMPTOM
P1492-AMBIENT/BATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR VOLTS TOO HIGH

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition key ON.

SET CONDITION
The PCM senses the voltage from the Ambient/Battery temperature sensor to be above 4.9 volts for 3 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Sensor ground circuit open
- Ambient/Batt signal circuit open
- Ambient/Batt signal circuit shorted to voltage
- Ambient/Batt temperature sensor
- PCM
- Wiring harness intermittent
