Refrigerant Filter: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
The filter/drier is mounted in a rubber grommet on the right side of the engine compartment. The refrigerant must be recovered from the A/C system before replacing the filter/drier assembly.

WARNING: THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM MUST BE COMPLETELY RECOVERED BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS OPERATION.

1. Evacuate and recover the refrigerant.
2. Disconnect liquid line from filter/drier.
3. Disconnect liquid line on suction line assembly from filter/drier.
4. Pull filter/drier out of rubber grommet.
5. Remove the filter/drier.

INSTALLATION
The filter/drier is mounted in a rubber grommet on the right side of the engine compartment. The refrigerant must be recovered from the A/C system before replacing the filter/drier assembly.

WARNING: THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM MUST BE COMPLETELY RECOVERED BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS OPERATION.

NOTE: Replace all a/c line seals from disassembled components. Failure to replace seals could result in a refrigerant leak.

1. Install the filter/drier in the rubber grommet.
2. Connect the liquid line to the filter/drier.
3. Connect the liquid line on the suction line assembly to the filter/drier.
4. Evacuate the refrigerant system.
5. Recharge the refrigerant system.
