Dual Cargo Doors
ADJUSTMENTSThe position of a cargo door within the door opening is adjusted at the hinge locations. Enlarged screw holes provide the means for adjustment.
For reference, mark the outline of the hinges on the door inner side panel and the door pillar.
Door adjustment is done by loosening the door pillar hinge screws for one hinge at a time and then move the door to the correct position.
It is important to avoid adjusting a cargo door improperly and causing the door weatherstrip seal to be damaged. A simple test of weatherstrip seal door pillar contact can be done with a strip of newspaper. Place the paper adjacent to the door pillar and close the door. Pull the paper outward from between the door pillar and the seal. A slight drag should be detected. If the paper is difficult to remove, the door should be re-adjusted.
1. As applicable, remove the interior trim panel for access to the door pillar-to-hinge screws.
2. Support the door with a suitable lifting device.
3. Loosen the applicable door hinge screws and move the door to the correct position.
4. If necessary, loosen the other door hinge screws and move the door to the correct position.
5. Tighten the door hinge screws to 23 N.m (200 in. lbs.) torque.
6. Remove the floor jack from the door.
7. Install the interior trim panel.
