SYMPTOM
P1492-AMBIENT/BATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR VOLTS TOO HIGH

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition key ON.

SET CONDITION
The PCM senses the voltage from the Ambient/Battery Temperature Sensor to be above 4.9 volts for 3 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Intermittent condition
- Ambient/battery signal circuit short to 12 volts
- Ambient/battery signal circuit open
- Sensor ground circuit open
- Ambient/battery temperature sensor
- PCM
