Crankshaft Main Bearing Cap Specifications

1. Lubricate the main bearing bolt threads and underside of the bolt head with clean engine oil.
2. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown, using the following steps:
Step 1 Torque all bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.)
Step 2 Torque all bolts to 119 Nm (88 ft. lbs.)
Step 3 Torque all bolts to 176 Nm (129 ft. lbs.)
