DIAGNOSTIC TEST

1. LOW VOLTAGE AT THE ABM

1. With the scan tool, read battery voltage and ignition voltage in the ABM and compare the two reading to actual battery voltage from a voltmeter.

Note: Battery must be fully charged.

Are all readings within a half of volt?

Yes
- Replace the ABM.
- Perform ABS Verification Test-VER 1. Refer to ABS Verification Test

No
- Go To 2.

2. ABM INTERNAL

1. Turn the key off.
2. Disconnect the ABM harness connector.

Note: Check connector-clean/repair as necessary.

3. Turn key on, engine off.
4. With a test light, check (A107) Fused B+, (A111) Fused B+ and (F500) Fused ignition switch output.

Is test light bright like when connected to the battery?

Yes
- Replace the ABM.
- Perform ABS Verification Test-VER 1. Refer to ABS Verification Test

No
- Repair the high resistance in the circuits.
- Perform ABS Verification Test-VER 1. Refer to ABS Verification Test
