Radio and Nav GPS Antenna Not Connected

RADIO AND NAV GPS ANTENNA NOT CONNECTED

WHEN MONITORED
With the radio on

SET CONDITION
The Radio detects a improper antenna signal

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Bad antenna connection
- Antenna
- Radio

1. BAD ANTENNA CONNECTION
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Antenna connectors.
Inspect the Antenna connections.

Q: Was the Antenna connections clean and tight?

YES: Go To 2
NO: Repair the Antenna connections as needed. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. ANTENNA
Refer to the Audio System and test the Antennas.

Q: Are the Antennas ok?

YES: Go To 3
NO: Repair or replace the Antenna assemblies as necessary. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

NOTE:
- Reconnect all previously disconnected components.
- Move vehicle outside approximately 30 ft from any structure.

Turn the ignition and Radio on.
With the DRBIII(R), erase the audio DTC's and operate the radio and the navigation system.
With the DRBIII(R), read the audio DTC's.

Q: Did this DTC reset?

YES: Replace the Radio. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
NO: Test Complete.
