FCM-FRONT LEFT TURN OUTPUT CIRCUIT LOW

FCM - Front Left Turn Output Circuit Low:

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition on

SET CONDITION
The FCM detects a short to ground condition

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Left front turn lamp driver circuit short to ground
- Power distribution center
- Front control module

1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION




Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII(R), clear all FCM DTC's.
Turn the Left Front Turn Signal on.
With the DRBIII(R), read the DTC information.

Q: Does the DRBIII(R) read: Front Left Turn Output Circuit Low?

YES: Go To 2
NO: The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. LEFT FRONT TURN LAMP DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the IPM C3 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Left Front Turn Lamp Driver circuit.

Q: Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

YES: Go To 3
NO: Repair the Left Front Turn Lamp Driver circuit for a short to ground. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

3. FRONT CONTROL MODULE
Turn the ignition off
Disconnect the FCM connector.
Disconnect the IPM C3 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Left Front Turn Lamp Driver circuit in the IPM.

Q: Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

YES:Replace the Power Distribution Center(PDC). Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
NO: Replace the Front Control Module. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
