SAFETY RECALL F08 - REPROGRAM CCN CONTROL MODULE
MODELS:
2006 (HB) Dodge Durang
2006 (ND) Dodge Dakota
NOTE:
This recall applies only to the above vehicles built through February 2, 2006 (MDH 020217).
IMPORTANT:
Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer new vehicle inventory. Federal law requires you to complete this recall service on these vehicles before retail delivery. Dealers should also consider this requirement to apply to used vehicle inventory and should perform this recall on vehicles in for service. Involved vehicles can be determined by using the VIP inquiry process.
^ An electrostatic discharge on about 3,800 of the above vehicles may cause the headlamps, turn signals, wiper motor and/or other electrical components to become inoperative. This can cause a crash without warning.
^ To correct this condition, the Cab Compartment Node (CCN) control module must be reprogrammed (flashed).

Global Recall System(GRS) has been developed to provide dealers with an up-to-date list of involved vehicles by recall number and by dealer code. Owners known to DaimlerChrysler are also listed. Involved vehicles will be removed from GRS within several days of submitting repair claims.
To use the GRS in DealerCONNECT, you first need to click on the "Service" tab and then in the Reports and Information section click on "Global Recall System". Your dealer's VIN list for each recall displayed can be sorted by: VIN sequence, city, postal code, phone number or those vehicles that according to our records were unsold at time of the recall launch.
