C1243 - G SENSOR NOT INITIALIZED
- When Monitored:
Once after power on reset.
- Set Condition:
If the offset is greater then ± 225 G when checked by ABM at ECU initialization and during driving conditions.
1. PERFORM ECU INITIALIZATION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, erase ABS DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition switch.
WARNING: Make sure brake capability is available before road testing.
NOTE: Ensure vehicle is on level ground while performing ECU initialization.
4. Perform ECU Initialization. Refer to ABS VERIFICATION TEST.
5. Park the vehicle.
Did ECU initialize?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Repeat initialization.
2. VERIFY IF DTC IS STILL ACTIVE
1. Cycle the ignition switch.
WARNING: Make sure brake capability is available before road testing.
2. Test drive the vehicle by turning the vehicle left or right in a curving manner at a velocity between 10 and 25 km/hr (6 and 15 m.p.h.).
3. Park the vehicle.
4. With the scan tool, read ABS DTCs.
Does this DTC reset?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Test Complete. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST.
3. CHECK INTEGRATED CONTROL MODULE INSTALLATION
1. Turn the ignition off.
Make sure Integrated Control Module is installed correctly.
NOTE: This DTC can set if ICU is not installed correctly.
Is the ICU installed correctly?
Yes
- Replace the Anti-Lock Brakes Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST.
No
- Install ICU correctly. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST.
