REMOVAL

WARNING: Refer to the applicable warnings and cautions for this system before performing the following operation. Failure to follow the warnings and cautions could result in possible personal injury or death.

NOTE: The low side A/C service port valve core is serviceable, however, the high side A/C service port valve core is not. If the high side service port valve core is faulty or damaged, the front section of the liquid line will require replacement.

1. Remove the protective cap from the low side service port located on the suction line near the A/C compressor(Figure 1).

2. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system.

3. Using a Schrader-type valve core tool, remove the valve core from the service port.

4. Install a plug in or tape over the opened service port(s).
