Removal

REMOVAL
1. Remove the pin nuts securing the leaf spring rear shackle halves (Figure 1).

2. Install a jack under the side of the axle having the leaf spring mount removed. Using the jack, support the weight of the axle and leaf spring.
3. Remove the lower mounting bolt from the shock absorber.
4. Remove the bolts attaching the leaf spring rear mount to the body of the vehicle (Figure 2).

5. Lower the jack and the rear of the leaf spring.
6. Remove the shackle from the leaf spring bushing and the spring rear mount.
