Lamp - Rear Light Emitting Diode

LAMP - REAR LIGHT EMITTING DIODE

NOTE: The rear Light Emitting Diode (LED) dome lamp contains three LED units, each with its own dedicated printed circuit board and switch. The two outboard articulating eyeball-type LED reading lamp pod units with their integral lens-actuated switches and printed circuit boards are available for separate service replacement. However, if the fixed center LED unit, printed circuit board and push button switch is damaged or ineffective, the entire lamp unit must be replaced.
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

2. Using a trim stick or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool, gently pry the rear edge of the lamp housing (1) away from the headliner (2) far enough to disengage the two snap clip retainers that secure the back of the lamp housing to the reinforcement above the headliner substrate.

3. Pull the rear of the lamp housing downward far enough to clear the rear edge of the headliner mounting hole, then slide the lamp rearward far enough to disengage the two fixed retainers at the front of the lamp housing from the front edge of the headliner mounting hole.

4. Pull the lamp away from the headliner mounting hole far enough to disconnect the wire harness connector from the front of the lamp.

5. Remove the lamp from the vehicle.
