LAMP

NOTE: This procedure is for vehicles with a pick-up bed only. On cab and chassis vehicles the license plate lamp is integral to the left rear lamp unit. The park/brake/turn signal bulb within the left rear lamp unit provides illumination for the license plate lamp function on all cab and chassis vehicles.

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

2. Reach under and behind the rear bumper or fascia (1) near the center to access the back of either of the two license plate lamp housings (4).

3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the license plate bulb socket (3).

4. Remove the stamped metal retaining clip (2) that secures the license plate lamp housing (3) from the back of the rear bumper or fascia (1).

5. Push the license plate lamp unit out through the mounting hole to the outer face of the rear bumper or fascia.
