Removal

6.7L DIESEL - P/U





WARNING: If torches are used when working on the exhaust system, do not allow the flame near the fuel lines.

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect flexible exhaust differential pressure sensor tubing.
3. Remove exhaust pressure differential sensor tubing from diesel particulate filter (5).
4. Saturate the bolts and nuts with heat valve lubricant. Allow 5 minutes for penetration.
5. 4X4 Vehicles - Remove transfer case skid plate.
6. 4X4 Vehicles - Remove transmission crossmember.
7. Remove flange nuts (1) from exhaust pipe to catalytic converter flange (2).
8. Remove flange nuts from catalytic converter flange to diesel particulate filter flange (6).
9. Remove catalytic converter isolators (4).
10. Remove catalytic converter (3) and gaskets. Discard gaskets.
