P060F-ETC LEVEL 2 ECT PERFORMANCE

For complete wiring diagrams refer to Diagrams/Electrical.


- When Monitored:

Throttle motor is powered and no matured faults related to the Engine Coolant Temp Sensor.

- Set Condition:

When secondary software determines that the Coolant Temperature is implausible for a period of time. One trip failure. ETC lamp will flash.







Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding.

Diagnostic Test


1. PROGRAM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE

NOTE: Diagnose any Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor DTCs before continuing.

Verify the PCM is at the latest calibration (flash level).


NOTE: An intermittent loss of power to the PCM without performing an ETC Relearn procedure may cause this DTC to set.

Flash the Powertrain Control Module if any updates are available.

Start the engine.

Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.

Operate the accelerator pedal. (do not exceed 3500 rpm)

With a scan tool, select View DTCs.


NOTE: Diagnose any other DTCs that may have set with the P060F.

Does this DTC reset by itself?

Yes

- Replace and reprogram the Powertrain Control Module.
- Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test

No

- Test Complete.
