Outer Tie Rod End






OUTER TIE ROD END




1. Install the outer tie rod end by threading it onto the inner tie rod end using the same amount of turns when it was removed.
2. Install the outer tie rod end (3) and shield (5) into the steering knuckle (6).
3. Tighten the outer tie rod end nut (4). Tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) Then an additional 60� turn for final.
4. Install the front wheels.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Perform toe adjustment.
7. Tighten the jam nut (2) after toe adjustment. Tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
