Front Door - Removal

REMOVAL

NOTE: To protect the vehicle finish, apply several layers of masking tape on the front edges of the door and the front fender prior to loosening the hinges.

NOTE: Left side door shown in illustrations. Right side door similar.





NOTE: Illustration shown with door and door seal removed for clarity.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Disengage the door wire harness grommet (2) from the cowl side panel and disconnect the two body wire harness connectors from the door harness (4).
3. Disengage the door seal as required from the door and route the door wire harness out from beneath the seal.

4. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the installed position of both front door hinges (1) in relationship to the door (3).
5. With assistance, remove the two nuts (2) that secure each door hinge to the door and carefully remove the door.
