Engine Coolant Thermostat - Installation

4.0L ENGINE










1. Make sure jiggle pin is at the 12 O'clock position. Position thermostat and thermostat housing (4) onto the lower intake manifold.
2. Install thermostat housing bolts (3). Tighten bolts to 35 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
3. Install upper radiator hose (1) onto thermostat housing (4).
4. Position upper radiator hose tube (5) and install mounting nuts (6). Tighten nuts to 9 Nm, (85 in. lbs.).
5. Install upper intake manifold Intake Manifold - Installation.
6. Install air cleaner housing .
7. Fill cooling system. Service and Repair.
