Engine Oil Pressure: Testing and Inspection

CHECKING ENGINE OIL PRESSURE

Check oil pressure using a gauge at oil pressure switch location.

1. Remove the oil pressure switch (1) . Service and Repair
2. Install oil pressure test gauge, C-3292 with Adapter 8406.

CAUTION: If oil pressure is 0 at idle, Do Not Run engine at 3000 RPM.

3. Warm engine to normal operating temperature.
4. Monitor gauge readings at idle and 3000 rpm. For specifications , Specifications
