Verify that the overrunning clutch assembly turns smoothly in one direction, and locks in the opposite direction. Verify that the oil feed holes in the inner race are not blocked by debris.
Replace the LR clutch retainer if the piston bores or bushing surfaces are badly scored, worn or damaged.
