B1A26-MAXIMUM NUMBER OF KEYS PROGRAMMED

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
When the maximum number of keys (8) have been programmed into the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN).
REPROGRAM ALL IGNITION KEYS
NOTE: This procedure will clear all the key information from the WIN. It is important to obtain all of the customer's ignition keys so they may be reprogrammed into the module.
NOTE: If the total number of keys already programmed is equal to Eight and another Key is trying to be programmed, this fault is valid. Explain to the customer no more Keys are allowed to be programmed.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, clear all the key information in the WIN.
3. Program the all of the customer keys into the WIN (maximum eight).
Did the "Maximum Number of Keys Programmed" display again?
Yes
- Replace and program the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN). NOTE: If this vehicle is equipped with a Steering Column Lock Module it must be replaced along with the WIN.
- Perform the WIN VERIFICATION TEST. Vehicle Theft Security Verification Tests.
No
- Programming of the keys was successful. Test complete.
- Perform the WIN VERIFICATION TEST. Vehicle Theft Security Verification Tests.
