B147F
B147F-CHANNEL 7 AUDIO SPEAKER OUTPUT CIRCUIT LOW
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information. Electrical Diagrams
NOTE: On the LX/LC vehicles there are four variations of the Subwoofer Speaker systems. The output circuits from the radio amplifier, X300 and X390, go to a Subwoofer Speaker on two of the versions and on the other two they go to a Subwoofer Amplifier.
- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
The Amplifier detects a shorted to ground condition on the speaker output circuit.
1. CHECK FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on, engine not running.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Turn the radio on and set the volume to 25.
4. Adjust the speakers to the rear and center.
5. Adjust the Bass to mid level.
6. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display active: B147F-CHANNEL 7 AUDIO SPEAKER OUTPUT CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. CHECK THE AMPLIFIED SUBWOOFER SPEAKER FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Disconnect the Subwoofer Speaker or Subwoofer Amplifier harness connector.
NOTE: The graphic shows the location of the pins that are used for the various systems. They are shown here for reference only.
4. Turn the ignition on, engine not running.
5. Turn the radio on with the same settings as in the previous step.
6. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display active: B147F-CHANNEL 7 AUDIO SPEAKER OUTPUT CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
