B1D69-ADJUSTABLE PEDAL CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
When the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) detects high voltage on the Adjustable Pedals Control circuit.
1. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) IS ACTIVE
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Using the scan tool, select view DTCs. Record DTC and DTC Environmental data.
3. Using the scan tool, clear stored DTCs.
4. Cycle the ignition switch off then on.
WARNING: Apply the parking brake. The vehicle may roll when the Transmission is shifted out of Park.
5. Shift into Reverse for at least five seconds, then move the shifter back into Park.
6. Using the scan tool, select view DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the Adjustable Pedals System (APS) Intermittent Condition test. Testing and Inspection.
2. CHECK ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH STATUS
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Adjustable Pedals Switch harness connector.
3. Visually inspect the connector terminals for damage or corrosion.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. Using the scan tool, select view DTCs. Record DTC and DTC Environmental data.
6. Using the scan tool, clear stored DTCs.
7. Cycle the ignition switch off then on.
WARNING: Apply the parking brake. The vehicle may roll when the Transmission is shifted out of Park.
8. Shift into Reverse for at least five seconds, then move the shifter back into Park.
9. Using the scan tool, select view DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Adjustable Pedals Switch.
- Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. APS Verification Test.
3. (A72) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO BATTERY VOLTAGE
1. Disconnect the TIPM C2 harness connector.
2. Measure the voltage on the (A72) Adjustable Pedals Control circuit at the Adjustable Pedals Switch harness connector.
Is the voltage greater than 9 volts?
Yes
- Repair the (A72) Adjustable Pedals Control circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. APS Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM).
- Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. APS Verification Test.
