Traction Power Inverter Module (TPIM) Cooling System - Description

TRACTION POWER INVERTER MODULE COOLING SYSTEM





The Traction Power Inverter Module (TPIM) cooling system removes excess heat generated by the high voltage inverters in the Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) and Auxiliary Power Module (APM) assembly.

The HCP/APM cooling system consists of:

- Coolant Recovery Container (1)
- Traction Power Inverter Module (TPIM) (2)
- Coolant Recovery Container Pressure Cap
- Combination TPIM/Transmission Oil Cooler (3)
- Coolant Temperature Sensor (4)
- Radiator Fan (6)
- Auxiliary Power Unit (7)
- 50W Coolant Pump (5)
